used laptop

My thoughts on buying a used laptop are not to buy one for several reasons. The first reason that I would not recommend buying a used laptop is because the battery is just about shot after about two years of use, and you will have to pay about 100-150 dollars for a new one. The second reason that I do not recommend buying a used laptop is because you can buy a brand new one for under $1000.
If you are going to buy a laptop, you should always check the hard drive and cd drive to make sure that they work well. Always check to make sure that the key board and touch pad still work perfectly because if not than do not buy it. Make sure all of the internal parts work well.
Make sure that the ram works well and that there is lots of space on it, at least 512 mb. Always make sure that the laptop is worth it, and it is worth it to pay for a second hand one and you should not just wait and buy a brand new one.
The majority of the sites on the internet recommend that you make sure everything works a1 and that it’s not pointless to buy it and waste your time and money on a piece of junk.
Are there any cracks in the screen? Any damage to the case? Any reason to think that liquid was spilled on the computer to fry it? Will the computer read any cd’s or devices that you put in to it?
If there is any kind of signs above than i suggest that you do not buy it.
If the laptop you are buying is older, you may have to replace its hard drive. A new one runs under $60. If you end up needing one, make sure it is rated at 5400 rpm with 8 MB cache.
